Best deal EVER

I hate grocery shopping. It didn't used to be like this. In fact, I cherished my grocery shopping time and could easily spend over an hour on my weekly shopping trip. It was sort of a little bit like retail therapy for me.
And then I had a baby.
I don't know if it is the lighting, or the smell, or the refrigerated sections but Natalie HATES to go in there. She doesn't mind the mall, or target or a restaurant but she will not warm to the idea of grocery shopping.
As of last Friday, it had been almost two weeks since my last trip to the grocery store. We were eating some pretty creative meals in my attempt to avoid the inevitable. Then, late that night as I was going through a week's worth of mail, I was brousing the grocery ads and saw that Albertson's actually delivers groceries to your door AND there was a coupon in there for FREE DELIVERY! You can not imagine the sheer bliss I experienced as I logged on and once again experienced stress-free grocery shopping. I got everything I needed (except the syrup which I forgot to order) and even things I had been meaning to buy but had forgotten in the past. The delivery man showed up right on time and everything was perfect. I did learn that produce is ordered in actual quantity, not weight, so I actually ordered three bananas and three pears when I meant to order three pounds. Oh well, I will just have to adjust those amounts on next week's order!
I LOVE ALBERTSONS!
Parker has been studying like a maniac. His class loads are heavier and more intense which requires a lot more time and effort. Luckily he has made some "study buddies" (my word, not his) and that has been helpful. I am so impressed with him. Sometimes he will leave some of his scratch paper lying around and the things he is learning are out of this world. Most of the equations have numbers, letters and the most ridiculous looking symbols AND each problem can take up multiple pages. The other day I asked him what one of the squiggily lines meant he laughed and then proceeded to answer my quesiton. I couldn't even understand the definition. Man, he is smart.
Today Natalie and I are going downtown to get a copy of her birth certificate. We thought we had ordered it while we were in the hospital but apparently Parker forgot to enclose a check. In order to save $30 and three weeks, we are braving the freeway and downtown traffic. Luckily our friend Jennifer and her daughter Samantha are coming with us so we're hoping it will be less traumatic for Natty. We need her birth certificate in order to begin the process of getting her passport. (Which we will need in a little over a month!) My parents have been reminding me for months but time sort of got away from me and now I'm stressed. My goal is to have it by the end of the month and I think we can do it if we pay to have it expedited. We're going to keep our fingers crossed!

Oh my heck Camery!! That Albertsons deal you have is amazing. Too bad Moses Lake is too small to have anything like that! You're lucky!! I hate grocery shopping with kids to be honest. I just feel so rushed and maybe it's because I'm so huge too, but yeah I'm trying to cope with it. Natalie is growing so fast and still super duper cute!! You are so lucky!! It sounds like she is a happy little baby that you can handle!! Sometimes it just takes time right? We'll see how my next one turns out!! Love you!! Give Natalie a squeeze from me!!
