The best week ever!

Oh, we had such a great time last week in Utah!
The flight down went well, other than the poor girl next to me. From what I gathered she is about my age and is separated from her husband with two children. In an attempt to,"find herself" she was on her way to meet what I can only describe as a male prostitute for the second time in a month. It broke my heart to see her in such need of love and esteem that she was relying on the affection of someone who couldn't care less about her. The way she was talking, I could almost imagine she was meeting the man of her dreams. I wanted to grab her by the shoulders and shake some sense into her but I obviously didn't. The only thing she had in her little bag was a nightie. I thought of at least sneaking in Natalie's Cheerios, sippy cup and maybe even her picture book so she would have something to eat and maybe a some light reading. Heaven knows he wasn't going to be footing the bill for anything extra, like dinner.
(Side note: What does it say that she was willing to share all of this information with the stranger next to her on the airplane? I still think I should have said something more. All I could really do was listen.)
Once we landed and found Candace we went to Cafe Rio for the most delicious lunch before driving to her house. The rest of the week was equally as great. Brooklynn and Anniston are two of the most adorable girls I have ever met. Brooklynn one smart cookie, I was especially impressed with her hula hooping skills and her knock-knock jokes! Anniston LOVES Natalie. The first day we looked over because Natalie was sort of fussing, only to find Anniston sitting on Natty's lap with her blankie and bottle. Hilarious. Every morning Annie would come in to see the "baby" and they would play for a bit before we went downstairs.
The Webster's got a Wii for Easter along with the American Idol game. That is by far my favorite game. I was a bit nervous to play as singing is NOT one of my strengths but it was so fun! One round I had to follow Candace's PERFECT (seriously, she got 100%) rendition of "My Heart Will Go On." No pressure.
We ate delicious food...oh, the food! As silly as this may sound one of the best things I ate was Candace's Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I have NEVER tasted one as delicious. There was also an amazing Halibut dinner and a steak that was out of this world!
Wade was a superstar at helping with the girls, and even gave us a couple of hours alone to shop! What a trooper! He is such a great dad, seriously. It was good just to relax and have a good friend around. I didn't realize how much I needed that. Thank you to the Reeder's and the Webster's for letting us crash your lives for a week (including Easter) and for making us feel so welcome! WE MISS YOU!
I was able to visit with some family as well. I saw the new Baskin Robbin's remodel which is looking fantastic! I also saw the Bird's new home and was able to visit for a few hours which was nice. I always leave from talking with Nikki and Kellie wondering where the time went. They are such fun people. Grandma Judy was there and it was good to see her, although she was exhausted and ended up taking a much needed nap! And, I was even able to catch a few minutes of Whitley's wedding reception. She was the most beautiful bride!
Now we are back in our own beds and trying to get back into a sleeping routine (aargh!) Natalie missed Aunt Kaitlyn and Uncle Adam and is soaking up all of their attention. The crawling is still a work in progress as she would much rather have help walking or just be carried. Oh well, as long as she's independently mobile by kindergarten, I won't complain!
