It seems a little unreal that my little brother is now 14 years old. Last night the family went out to dinner to celebrate and it ended up being so nice. We went to Michael's which I was super excited for because I had been CRAVING the free form California sushi for months. But, as luck would have it, last night was the first time they were out of the cucumber sauce. Talk about a let down. Grandma Judy came along and we all took a minute to talk about our favorite Adam memories. It was so fun to hear what everyone remembered and to hear the different versions everyone had of the same events.
2. The movie, "It's Not Easy Being Green" which he watched every day for at least a year.
3. The day he pointed to his elbow and excitedly told me he also had an ELMO.
4. Watching him race around on his infant four wheeler and snowmobile, sometimes with Kaitlyn on board.
5. His hilarious sense of humor. He went through the longest "knock-knock" joke phase.
6. The fact that he still likes to hide in the most random places and scare you when you least expect it.
7. One day when he was about three, he shut himself in the linen closet near where I was standing. Suddenly, he knocked. I said, "Who's there?" and he said, "Gordon B. Hinckley." How funny is that?
8. He is ALWAYS down for a game of Monopoly. He could play that game for weeks. Especially when I'm secretly slipping him Parker's money under the table to prevent him from going bankrupt.
9. I love that he still grins at the stupid "Weenie" joke.
10. I love to watch him pass the sacrament on Sundays. It makes me happy and sad all at the same time. I am happy that he is such a good guy and is a great example to our family but I'm sad that he is getting so old. One day I'm going to look over and not only will he be able to pass the sacrament, but he'll also have a missionary tag on and that just blows my mind.
He is such a bright spot in our family and I'm glad he's my brother. Happy Birthday, T-I-G-G-E-R! I love you!
Here are my TOP 10
1. Adam's love of Winnie-the-Pooh which inspired him to give all of his family character assignments from the cartoon. He was ALWAYS T-I-G-G-E-R and I was Piglet.2. The movie, "It's Not Easy Being Green" which he watched every day for at least a year.
