Japanese Peace Garden

It was such a nice day on Friday...finally!
Natalie and I went to the Farmer's Market where we saw a few friends including Loveta, who gave us the most wonderful bunch of lavender. Then, we shared a shaved ice which is absolutely one of my favorite summer treats!
We also stopped by the library where we found the cutest children's CD featuring all of the Beatles songs you could ever want to teach your daughter!
But the highlight of the day was our trip to the Japanese Peace Garden. It was BEAUTIFUL and there were so many things for us to see! Natalie is starting to notice things like the birds, and the big Koi fish in the pond, and how the gravel is the perfect size for her mouth...
It is getting trickier to get a good picture of her now that she is more mobile and aware of her surroundings. So, for the time being, many of our outings will feature pictures of the back of her head, or her ear, or a close up of her forehead...
